The Hespeler Shamrocks would like to welcome new Head Coach Tyler Ludolph! Joining Tyler on the bench are Assistant Coaches Brandon Verasamy and Mark Telkewiak.
Tyler, Brandon and Mark bring excellent resumes and a commitment to the game that will help the Shamrocks organization succeed.
Head Coach : Tyler Ludolph
Tyler grew up playing rep hockey for Waterloo throughout his minor hockey career. He is a 2-time alliance champion as a player with the Waterloo wolves and turned to coaching shortly after.
Has been a head coach for the past 6 years with 4 of them being with Kitchener minor hockey at the AAA level. In 2023/24 Tyler received the Murray Fried Award for Kitchener minor hockey head coach of the year. Tyler has a track record of building successful programs and a passion for the game. As a High-performance certified head coach, Tyler’s attention to detail, focus on preparation and drive for success brings a new era to the club. He looks forward to joining the tradition of hockey in Hespeler and help bring the organization success.
Assistant Coach : Brandon Verasamy
Brandon played rep hockey for Kitchener growing up at the AAA level. Once minor hockey was finished, Brandon moved on to his junior career where he began with the PJHL Paris Mounties. From there Brandon played the next 4 seasons in the GOJHL sharing time between the Kitchener Dutchmen and the Cambridge Winterhawks.
Brandon has been an assistant coach with Kitchener Minor Hockey the last few seasons at both the AA and AAA level and is ready to take the step back to Jr hockey in the region. He has won 2 Alliance championships as a coach already and hopes to bring success and an offensive mind behind the bench in Hespeler.
Assistant Coach Mark Telewiak
With over 40 years of experience in the game, Mark brings a deep passion for hockey to his coaching role. A former on-ice official, he was once selected to officiate at the Ontario Championships. Over the past 10 seasons—including seven as a Head Coach—Mark has dedicated himself to developing young athletes, helping them grow not only as hockey players but as respectful, responsible individuals.
Mark is a certified Hockey Canada Development 1 Coach and holds advanced training in multiple Instructional Streams, including Developing Defence 2, Goaltending 2, Shooting and Scoring 2, Skating 2, and Skills 2. He has worked for Hockey Canada at Day Camps and has served as a Lead Instructor running hockey camps and skill development sessions.
In the spring season, Mark works with AAA-level athletes as part of a successful Regional Program. He was also selected as one of only 3,000 coaches worldwide to participate in the inaugural NHL Coaches’ Association (NHLCA) Mentorship Program. Whether on the ice or behind the bench, his dedication to hockey is unconditional.
