Hespeler, ON – The Hespeler Shamrocks Junior Hockey Club have officially entered the final month of the 2023-2024 regular season.
On Friday evening, the Shammies will travel to the Woodstock District Community Complex for a 7:45pm tilt with the Navy Vets.
The team will have Saturday off before hosting the Wellesley AppleJacks on Sunday afternoon from the Hespeler Memorial Arena. The puck drops at 3:30PM.
Last week’s action saw the Shamrocks drop two games to the Wellesley AppleJacks (5-3) and the Norwich Merchants (5-2) respectively.
Against the AppleJacks last Wednesday evening, Alex Spencer earned his first goal of the season, Jack Restauri notched his ninth on the powerplay, and Michael Boyle-Ricupero grabbed his seventh of the campaign. David Hanley made 21 saves.
On Sunday afternoon, the 165 in attendance at the Hespeler Memorial Arena saw Jack Restauri reach double digits with his tenth goal of the season. Andrew Harris scored his fourteenth. Both Shamrocks goals came via the man-advantage. David Hanley turned aside 32 shots.
